well the birds 206 munched the gearbox, ripped it out yesterday, opened it up, metal fillings/teeth inside the housing, diff cogs were mashed.
so on the hunt for one, phoned local breakers yesterday.... £175+vat
but my dad was speaking to his mate today and said that a saxo box fts a 206???

Possibly if it has a ma type one. They do a 1.4 106 so if its the same engine...........

yeah i knew it had to be a MA one, because the gti`s and hdi are different, typical, as my dad got a gti in for scrappage allowance yesterday

although they both use the same engines the boxes can be slightly different, some models use a normal selector and some use cables instead so just make sure its suitable
