i had a xe in my estate, have a look on astra owners club there are a few on there, its easier to use an f23 box than f20/28 as u will only have to change 2 mounts then instead of all of them.

you can use an f28 but the mounts on astras are on the top of the box rather than on the side so just means changing the mount. you can buy the conversion kit but its around £700 lol, you can just brows astra owners club aswell dont need to be a member

use a x20xe mount or something, f23 box with driveshafts and if your car is already big block I think the hubs should accept it fine? Like i said all on mig!

ye x20xe drivers side mount is easier thats what i used and you can use diesel hubs etc anything big block, and any f23 box except off a 2.2, but if you want to use the f28 you need a different mount, and different rear mount depending on what box you use
