Sorry for another one of these...
My mate from work is thinking of buying a newer car - his budget as above is £12k
His requirements:
- No older than 3 years old
- Good space in the back (baby on the way!)
- Quite nippy he has an mx5 and is thinking of selling his 1.5 suzuki swift so something a little quicker than that...
- Doesn't really mind petrol / diesel (although diesel is probabaly preferrable)
- No outrageous running costs
So far he has considered:
- Ford Focus 2ltr TDI
- Ford Mondeo 2ltr TDI
- Golf TDI (although he said they were alot of money for what they are)
I have tried to persuade him to get a civic type r but it's just not practical enough

I think what he should do is go on auto trader, put in the requirements
ie upto 3 years old
upto what ever price
5 doors
And see what happens
