A question I wanted to know..... David Gill's son is in the squad, how does that work ?

Is he actually good at a football hence why he plays for United(got to have some ability at least) or is it because daddy works for them in a big role ?

Didn't say or mean that ?

what I am saying is how did he get in the club. Was it because he has a serious amount of talent ? Or is it because his dad works for the club ?

Surely if this was the case, Gill would be in the starting XI each week if it was favouritism?

Also, if I had the chance to get my son in the best team in the best league on a high wage, I'd drive him there in an instant.

I didn't mean this ?

I said how did he get in the club, was it because he has ability as a young kid or was it because of Gill ?

It is probably due to the fact his Dad got him in when very young, meaning nobody knew how he was going to develop, with the guidance of some top coaches and managers, he's developed well and warranted his place in the reserves? under 18's or whatever?

Same difference isnt it?

If he isnt good enough (even as a kid) then he wouldnt be in there.

No doubt his Dad pulled some strings to get him seen and a trial, but I see nothing wrong with that as long as he is good enough.

He's only young, and will be at united largely due to him having a chief exec dad

But if he is still there now, he must have some promise, he'll probably end up like most youngsters and drift down the leagues in a couple of years

But Fergie won't be messed around by anyone and will only pick him if he is good enough

You seem a bit annoyed his son is at united tbh dee? Is your dad peter kenyon and you still couldnt get in?

You'll find a percentage of footballers today have uncles/dads/friends of the family in positions of power within football. It happens at every single level, there were folk I played with at under 12 right through to under 16 who were considered poor but have played for professional football teams now.

Anyway, United better get beat I have Wolfsburg on my accumulator.
