read about this in the paper.

simon cowell doesn't care. he's got plenty of money from x-factor as it is. anything else is just a bonus.

What Cowell personally? I have no idea. The same international conglomerate is getting your money, there is nothing 'better' about having RATM at number one.
Plus I'd be suprised if Cowell's earnings aren't linked to Sony's as a whole, be it in shares or whatever.
