my mate had et35 on his nova and 195/45/15 tyres and it scrubbed like hell when he accelerated and was only 60 mm down

Wide arches will allow you to run lower et wheels.

What wheels you thinking? go for 14s! makes it alot easier to work with

But on 15s- et25 is doable on a 165 depending on width of the wheel. just will need alot of arch adjusting

without arch modding - et40 over

its all down to tyre size & width, from my experience you can get away with anything 15" and 6.5j width or smaller, upto an offset off 33 to 35 if running the right tyres..

I had 6.5 j width and an offset off et.33 lowered on FK highsport coilovers (adjuster removed on rear springs) used with a 185/45/15 profile tyre you can get away with it but it did catch a couple of times with a full car

Since then i rebuilt the wheels to 7j width & used the same 185/45 tyres, which didn't fit unless i put the adjuster's back in (to raise the car 20mm or so) & added a slight negative camber to tuck the top of the wheel.

plenty of pics in my garage if you needed to see more angles or close ups
