Need someone in scotland who can vag com my brothers leon cupra k1, somethings up with it but its mapped so he needs someone to clear the exceeded max speedlimit code before he takes it in for warrenty work.
Can any one help??

Briskoda has a vagom section and a map of people that have it I think.
If he's planning on keeping the car it might be worth buying a proper one, good bit of kit.

To a non-VAG nut, what's the problem with just taking it in? Dealer's going to know he's got a remap?

Just had a look, the engine warranty void bit s a joke, the over rev code isn't though.
Edit to say even though the warranty void bit only shows in vagcom, if the dealer sees the code it comes true.

yeah he just wants the code cleared anyway just incase. ive got vagcom for my mk4 golf but I dont think the ebay cable works with his

It should do as long as it's not CAN-BUS. May have to change the baud rates in the settings if it won't let you select the engine module

help lol. its a mk2 leon so same as a mk5 golf? it wont find his engine try's 4 times then errors. how do I change the baud rating

ahhh it's probabaly CAN-BUS if it's the same as MkV's so may not work.
Baud settings should be where you test between the computer and the car in the settings menu. Could be worth a shot as you never know. But don't think it will work
