Any help much appreciated......
Sat chattin before in my car, it was running.
Started to boil over. Heaters went coldish. No fan kicking in.
Could this be: -
1. Thermostat
2. Fan switch
4. Waterpump
How could i tell? Car is a 1.6 Zetec S 2000 plate. Cheers

Hard to tell mate. From what you've said I'd say the it's one of two things - headgasket failure or fan switch failure, headgasket because of the heaters losing heat. Even if the thermostat is brand new it doesn't stop the car overheating if you're sitting still, you need the fan for it.

Bit mor einfo for you. Car runs spot on, so i don't think it's the gasket.
Started car form cold today. Pipe from head to rad was cold, after a while it goes hot, which is when the stat opens so i've ruled the stat out.
The hot water then fills the rad and passes out the return pipe back to the head, so the pump must be fine.
But, when the car is hot hot hot the fan doesn't kick in, so i think this is the problem. Thing is i know vaux inside out and ain't a clue about Fords. lol. So i don't know where anyhting is!

Fan switch is on the side of the radiator same as Vaux's I thought wth the Fords.
