forgot to change to antifreeze for the winter woke up in the morning everything is frozen any ideas i got a corsa sport 1.4 16valve

Don't try and start it, you'll have to wait till it melts and hope it hasnt cracked the head

with the weather still as bad as it is what is the best way to try and defrost it cause every nite is just getting colder

push it into the garage and put a heater in there

i didnt realise it had frozen and i went to start it and it jus made a grinding noise hav i damaged it by doing this

This happened to me yesterday, solved it by leavig it in the sun (yes, we had some!) and pouring kettle after kettle of water on the engine and in the radiator pipe(s).

if you've tried starting it, it'd have killed your cambelt/water pump

only about £8000 id imagine. will have killed the head when you tried to turn it over

if anything your water pump would be stuck and when turned over may have sheared the cambelt

Happened to mine, wore the teeth off the cambelt.
