for the following?? - and i know bodyshop prices vary and ill try and do as much stuff myself as my skills and wallet allow

dehandle the rear doors and weld them up - in effect creating a 3dr

tint all windows (bar winscreen and 2 fronts) around 90% issssssssssh

dewiper and fill in the lil hole left on the boot?

exterior respray (incl the front door and boot shuts) as every panel has a problem whether it be rust or scratches or no paint at all

if you want rear tints i have a set of windows here, they have to be removed anyway when fitting the tints but i can let them go for a sum

Would welded up rear doors pass an MOT? im pretty sure all doors must be able to open

Rear doors welded will look terrible and also instantly mean you can't sell it.

alter the v5 to say its a 3door and i imagine someone will have to inspect it cant see any problems with it after that? although it would be a fairly expensive job

would it not be easier to buy a 3dr shell? id say it wouldnt be cheap when you think of the work that would be involved

Least you have one less door shut to wory about, also got to think how you would want that door shut finishing off, personally would weld sheet metal in there so it's flat. But tons price is good but I would say close to £3000 + vat

oh right sheers guys, didt even consider the whole v5 mot thing :s

might just buy a van, cheaper on the insurance, and im sure this style will still be in reasonable nick in a few years time

(i think c20let has / had one)

just out of interest what is van running cots and insurance like? would be a low spec 1.3(ish) diesel preferably to make a good base to start from.

idea is to get some kind of crazy ass ICE van thats useable for everday shizzle, just thought the idea of turning my 5dr intop a van seemed pretty cool
