ever since the snow my passenger side wiper just shakes and doesn't go across the screen, the drivers just barely makes it over the screen and will randomly stop and start.
i'm thinking wiper motor? how easy is it to change?

I would say the motor and I havn't done one before but can't be difficult, you not got a haynes? *consults his Haynes*

This is a quote from the Haynes:
1- Disconnect battery negative terminal
2- Remove wiper arms (basically undo the bolts and prise them off)
3- Undo the retaining screws, and remove both halves of scuttle panel
4- Peel the bonnet seal off the engine bulkhead and remove from vehichle
5- Unscrew the large plastic nut from each wiper spindle
6- Prise out the 2 clips from the center of the water deflector shielf. Release the shield from the engine compartment bulkhead and wiper spindles, and remove it from the vehichle.
7- Disconnect the wiring connector from the wiper motor. Undo the 3 retaining bolts, and remove the wiper motor and linkage assembly.
8- If necessary, mark the relative positions of the motor shaft and linkage arm, then unscrew the retaining nut from the motor spindle. Free the wiper linkage from the spindle then remove the 3 motor retaining bolts. and seperate the motor and linkage. it is not necessary to remove the linkage assembly from the vehichle to remove the motor.
Then refit...if obviously the reverse, i cba to retype it.
good luck, sounds easy job to me. local scrapyard for a wiper motor tbh, if it dont work, take it back and get one that does. probs set u back £10-£20

sure its not the spline slipping inside the hole in the wiper arm?
take the plastic cap off and tighten the nut up see if that helps

Exactly what I'm thinking, if one of them's working then it's most likely not the motor since it's the same one that moves both wipers via a linkage.
