What is Global Thermonuclear War ??
Global Thermonuclear War is a hidden gametype in Modern Warfare 2. It may have been incomplete at launch or is going to be re-released as DLC. The objective is for the opposing sides the capture a Tactical Nuke in the middle. Once a team has captured it a countdown automatically starts. When the countdown is over the Nuke explodes, killing all players on the map and winning the game for the team who captured the nuke. For a team to capture the nuke players have to be in the area around the nuke. For every second in that area, a point is given to the team who the player belongs to. Once 100 points have been scored the countdown begins. It should be noted that multiple players in the area do not increase the time it takes to capture.

This was posted about a month ago on bash, there's apparently 3 new gametypes that they think will be ''unlocked'' with DLC.

Theres meant to be another gametype aswell called "VIP" where someone in your team goes the VIP and the others have to protect them

It won't be solely released for Xbox, it will be released on Xbox first and then PS3 and PC at a later date.

its xbox exclusive then the other map packs and add ons will be released xbox first then a month later on the other stuff.

Where have you read this? Xbox have everything exclusive as Microsoft partnered with them all the way through MW2, but I can't see any DLC being xbox only, then again I could be wrong.

id rather just leave it as i cant be done with the abuse off the 2 people that always give me shit for owning an xbox. i just report them now anyway. hopefully something will get sorted with them being banned etc shortly.
