Looking at the Jag corsa thread got me thinking,. We look back at all the bodykitted cars now and laugh at them, but at the time alot of people though they were the nuts. Do you think in years to come people will look back at all these "scene" cars and current trends such as seemingly every car been lowered and think they look shit?
Id laugh if bodykits became the cool thing to do again.

alot of those who used to have kitted corsas on 17s/18s/19s think the current trends are shit... kinda ironic really
in answer to your question, custom bodywork is coming back; one-off arches, more smoothing, one off bumpers, air ride, full on re-trims and subtle colours be the next trend. (after jdm lol)

scene cars have been around for a long time. its only recently people who do not own a vw make their car look scene. actual vw scene stuff will carry on as the trends change so people stop making their car look scene, when it isnt and never will be.

it's a common misconception that vw owners invented 'euro', they didn't(!)

thats not at all what im saying. im saying current scene looking cars are being modified to look like vw stuff. this is the lastest trend is to modify a non vw to make it look scene. 2008 was the fake track slag look. 2009 has been scene and undrivable look. i worry what is going to come next.
hopefully the scene will die as i just dont understand the need to make cars completely un-useable.

safe bet with subtle and low when you look back in years to come, it will never really look stupid. Bit like wearing jeans it never goes out of fashion lol
