just to bore you with another, "i had a go at racing this" thread

was a new White Carrera S (had LED rear lights or something) quite a young bloke, think the reg was 8TED or something with TED on it. very pretty blonde in passenger seat.

comes pulling up next to me at the turn onto the stains bypass heading up to M25.
we were pretty much side by side all the way, i backed off at 130mph but he kept his foot down (didnt want to be too dangerous)

am very pleased with the VXR8, despite being bloody massive it does hold its own against cars 3x the price

I leveled a CTR yesterday till about 90ish, I reckon Id have gained on him if we had a bit more room, I dont really go above 100 anymore though, should be seeing them off when I get my FMIC and filter

people can sit on their moral high ground and say its silly and so on but its bloody good fun

I bet yours sounded better than his porcshe

yeah im saving for engine mods but they are so expensive for this car. if i went for a setup that would give 600-640bph it would cost nearly £10k !!!

but yeah the car sounded sweet, just need tubular headers and exhaust to really make it sing

Good to hear you're using it properly now Steve!

Finally had my first couple of plays on a local bit of road that I know like the back of my hand - notorious for bikers and rich blokes with weekend toys playing around on it at the weekend.

So I had fun with a bike on the way to a mates and a TVR on the way home

I've been 163 (on the clocks) in my CTR, and i was running a larger overall radius than standard so can't be far off, never been troubled by much in it either

VXR8 is an awesome car and i'm glad you put the guy in the porsche in his place somewhat

i doubt he regretted spending the money on a nice new vxr

who'd want to be in a mk3 astra on a freezing winters morning where it takes half hour to warm up and isn't as good driving around town as the vxr?

turbo?

astra gsi mk4 2.0 turbo book figures are 149mph top speed

and we all know speedo's are out, so would prob read 160mph

ever topped yours out nic? surely it would do 180mph+ if geared right? not sure id ever want a corsa to go any faster, not exactly aerodymanic
