Looks fecking massive when you drive past it, mind.
Pictures taken from inside the top of the spire sticking up at the top

Over half a mile. 860m or something. 1km is 1000m, i think a mile is about 1600m?
Love that building. I stayed in that upside down Y building hotel (just at top of left shadow in below pic) when it had been built height wise, just nothing else around it.
Honestly, it makes our Canary Wharf and Gurkin look totally pathetic compared to this.
Anyone seen the video link of a passanger plane flying out of Dubai that goes past it, and its higher than the plane is
Its not just the building. I was only there a few years ago, the skytram had not been built, only some of the pillars. Also, that huge junction was just a wide roundabout, no junction or anything. Used to back up with traffic really bad, then you would find some plonker trying to cross the motorway and get accross to the KFC on the other side
I love it, pedestrians get out of the way, exactly the opposite to this country.

Shaikh Khalifa is our (Abu Dhabi) ruler, and president of the UAE, and Abu Dhabi just happened to bail Dubai out a fortnight ago. Co-incidence?!
