As title.

The hatchback bootlid will only shut properly if we give it a good slam down.
Sometimes we have to slam it a few times before it clicks shut in to place.

Is this a common problem on these cars? And how to fix it?

Many thanks.

p.s. I'm new here....so, hi!

Oops!
I've just noticed there is a Help Zone forum where I guess this thread should go...?

Could a Mod move it perhaps?

It'll be 1 of 2 things.
Either the rubber bungs in the boot lid are too far out. Try turning them in a little.
If that doesn't help loosen the bolts on the latch on the back panel, Loosen the bolts a touch so the latch can be moved slightly. Close the boot then reopen, Tighten the bolts and see if it closes easier.
