£500 Engine and Gearbox
£500 Fitting Parts
£500 Labour to get the engine fitted
Total £1500

IT can be done cheaper BUT its best to work of them numbers so you have a good budjet to work off.
ie you can buy an engine for £200 and spend £300 replacing items etc

all depends if your going to replace...

cambelt, water pump, head gasket, bottom end gaskets, rings, any sensors

id get the engine put it, make sure it runs, doesnt smoke etc, then replace whats needed tbh

If I lived down England, I'd buy a tired XE with F20 for about £300 then get Philip2 to rebuild it ready for fitting.

I want to buy the engine change the bottom end bearings and shells, rings valves, seals and gaskets, water pump oil pump clutch so that i know it will run very sweet. Then buy all the conversion parts from chris astley strengthening kit and all the proper parts

Which is the best redtop to get, should i try and get the cav coscast one?
