Hey. Single now and pretty bored with life so decided to go back to gym, train hard; and bulk myself up.

My diet is pretty much spot on.. just need to increase the intake of meals per day. only problem is the supplement issue which think would be beneficial.

Would you advise just going for a protein whey shake or include a fat building shake with it? plus there is so many places online to buy whey protein its slightly confusing. can someone point me in the direction of whats best at a good affordable price?

Ive been looking at the la muscle supplements, and i know of the cheap ones from holland and barratt- is there really much difference between the two apart from the massive price difference?

Thanks

Theres the same amount of difference between a cheap protein powder and an expensive protein powder as there is between a cheap car and n expensive car. Sure they both do the same job, but the more expensive car does the job better, faster and more comfortably.

If you want whey protein, stick to the better brands such as phd, reflex, biotest and boditronics. Myprotein.com stuff is also top quality stuff for a good price

Dont go for weight gainers, there the biggest bullshit suppliment on the market. 800 calories in one sitting from crappy processed sugar? yeah good idea!

all the top brands taste as good as, if not better than bottled milkshakes you buy at the shops.

Probably are, but fresh breasts cost a fortune. i get 50 massive ones for £25 but its only every 6 weeks as a bloke on my road works at a chicken farm. Still warm when they are delivered to me in the morning lol

Yeah but i cant buy them when i need them, i can only fit 50 in my freezer at a time and they dont last me 6 weeks.

Plus chicken breasts arent as convenient as shakes either seeing as you have to cook them first.

800cal's per serving that's abit extreme most decent brand one's are only 400 / 500 max and not all processed suger gues it's down to personal prefrence no a fair few people that use them and get on very well with them

tbh if you cant add another 4-500 cals through food in to your diet then you're doing something wrong.

Like i say it's personal preference some people despise of them some swear by them, its the fact its easy if your working or in a rush one drink can cover a meal and not always easy for some people to add 4 - 500 decent cal's to your diet

And yes i no having the drink isn't going to be good as having the same nutrients as from a decent meal but still

If you're taking your diet seriously enough to have to use these, then you should be doing it serious enough to cook something up in advance so you have the extra 4-500 cal a day - I mean that really isnt a huge amount.

You should be having a decent amount of protein after working out along with some carbs, pretty much the most important time to have them.
