I want to upgrade the memory on my computer as i only have 512mb at the mo... but how do i find out wat type it is? DDR/DDR2, what Pin, what Mhz etc etc...?

Any help in finding out much appreciated.

Cheers for that... also is it ok to add 1gb to the 512mb? so basically 1gb in 1 slot and the 512mb in the other? or do they have to be the same?

download system info for windows from that link. it'll tell you about all the hardware in your system. it'll also tell you your max capacity for upgrading. also, yes you can add 1gb to 512mb. they dont have to be matched iirc.

thanx, its saying that wat i have is DDR PC3200 200MHz. Would DDR PC3200 "400" MHz work fine?

Look for DDR400 PC3200. I think it's fairly old now which normally means expensive.

yeah ive found 2 for 23.49 both of which r 1gb... but it says they r 400mhz and the 1 i have in at the mo is only 200mhz.. does this matter? thanx

It's unlikely it won't but check your motherboard can address 1GB and it's not a max. of 512mb

yeah it says its takes upto 2gb with max 1gb in each slot. just wanting to double check that 400mhz will work although the 1 im currently using is 200mhz
