car has ran fine all day started fist time this morning.
been out and about it in
so thought id give a clean considering it was black!
so started car to go up my girlfreinds and it's hit really bad flat spots and stinking of petrol.
pulled the leads off for a bit now as im up my gf's
but i need to get home got a garage up here to sort it if its something small
any idea's and suggestions much appreciated.

check the fuel hoses going into the inlet make sure none are leaking

if your getting a flat spot and a smell of petrol its got to be leaking from somewhere i would guess

just conected the leads bk to the battery and started spluttering and then it stoped and was allright reving. but black soot cumming out.

sure its not overfueling or leaking maybe fuel pump is broke or blocked with shit ive had this problem 2 times

how would u now if the fuel pump is broke? i checked out side erlia with a torch couldent see any thing leaking.

Check your ecu is not covered in water, when washing car some water could of got in through the grommit in engine bay, few people been having these problems

car started this morning drove to eye options came out and car wouldent start just turning and turning after disconnecting the battery for 15 min and holding my foot down it started. and i had to keep it at high revs all the way home.

i had a problem were i had to keep it high or would stall but i forgot what problem was as it was previous car. engine light came on so i it was easy to find problem but forgot now :S

i had the same problem not long ago on my 1.2 8v and in the end i got diagnostics on it and found out it was the lamda/oxergen senser on the exhaust manafold
