ive just disconnected the battery to install some audio and now when i try to reconnect the battery the alarm is going off as soon as the terminal touches! does anyone know how the hell to stop this? how hard can it be to reconnect a bloody battery!?!?
its a 2004 sri if that makes a difference

Just connect the battery up then turn off the alarm?

If you have remote central locking, then press the button that locks/unlocks the car,

If not then put the key in the drivers door and turn it,

thats how ive always done it

tried locking and unlocking it, starting it, everything

sometimes the alarm wil go off if the battery is low on power when reconnected

How would you usually stop the alarm, say if it was parked outside your huse and it went off?

Have you tried just leaving it to go off itself?

Not sure how long it will take but my alarm sounds for 30seconds then goes off

from what i can see theres some kind of routine for disconnecting the battery with this powersounder thing, which i didnt do...

put ignition on then connect the battery
