i planned to tax my car today, but i only have the mot certificate and new keeper part of the logbook
i am insured on it but i havnt had a letter come through yet from my insurer to prove im insured..
neither do i have the tax reminder number to do it online..
any ways around this?

i dont think you can have get around it tbh, i managed to do mine online as i didnt have a clue where my insurance certificate was

i see..
just tried online to see what it says but i need the logbook to come back in my name before i can do it online..
its been a week now, thought a letter from my insurance would have been here by now..

I know someone that make an insurance certificate once to tax a car
Failing that, phone the company and get them to send a fax of the certificate out!

just rang my insurer and they said they could fax a copy but cant email anything..
dont know anyone with a fax machine but im just going to ring around to double check..
they said they could also fax the postoffice a copy for when i get there, would that be wise?

I took a printed out email copy to a postoffice once and they rejected it because they "only accepct origionals". Drove to another Post office and they accecpted it

would just get someone with traders to do it TBH wil be easier
