going to see an early astra gsi tomorrow,with a C18XE, what are these engines like? Much difference in power from a C20XE? Do they have the same issues as the C20XE? ie porus head,oil leaks etc....

Go alright for an 1800 16v.They usually pull about 140bhp,but on the road a C20XE is quite a bit quicker.
Engines are good too and dont suffer porous heads.Oil leaks are standard issue on most Vauxhalls.

theyre pretty much an ecotec engine.

IIRC they dont have all the EGR shit.
