Car will more than likely need to go up for sale soon, so I need to work out a fair price.

Car was flood damaged a few years ago has not been recorded in anyway so a HPI should come up clean.

2002
MOT: 11/12 months
TAX: 4 Months
Car has done 64k
Engine has done 74K as previous blew the block.
Gearbox has done about 45k as previous one failed.
No service history due to it being flood damaged, although i do have receipts for parts that have been replaced.
Cambelt and water pump were done 20k ago
Rear discs and pads 20k ago.
Oil has been changed 3 times in the last 20k miles using only VW recommended oil.
Gearbox oil replaced a few months ago.
Wishbones replaced last month

Usual anni spec
Anniversary Kit inc skirts, spoiler, front splitter and rear valance
Anniversary dash inserts, pedals, steering wheel and gear gaitor, seats, black headlining, chrome dial rings, 6 disc in dash changer.

Mods
comfort indicators (3x flash then off)
lowered on ta technix coilovers
8" wide bbs wheels (standard were 7.5)
CAI induction kit
Auto windows via keyfob
Miles to empty
Illuminated needles.
HID's
Black grill
JBL Bass tube.
I believe it has been mapped as it has run 200 bhp 3 times on two diff RR's but i cannot confirm if it's been done.

Bad bits
Door has been replaced at somepoint as the colour match is slightly off in certain lights and the mirror is not an anni one.
Has a clunk when turning suspected CV (but should be sorting that before sale, or will sell cheaper)
Needs airbag controller as current one has died due to water damage.
Steering angle sensor, same reason as above.
wheels have kerb damage.
Car park dings from peoples doors
scuff on front splitter

Pulls hard through every gear with no smoke from turbo etc clutch and brakes feel fine.
Interior and engine bay are cleaner than that now, didnt have any recent pics.

A 93,000 one sold for around £5500 will fsh. There are some up for £6800 with 80,000 miles.

Would £6,000 be a good starting point for a quickish sale? or is that too high/low given the condition of mine?

Any help is appreciated.

or are they all 2002
id say start it at £5.5k if on ebay had alot of stuff done to it but mileage is ok, but stick it at £6250.00 then there is room to haggle

Not sure what they are worth, but I can vouch for the amount of time and money spent on the car. Great example G-Unit.

You'd get £2000 for it on the scrappage scheme, if it was old enough.

Ben - yeah thats the plan.
Tom - Trying to source the parts

Regarding the gearbox, it was a common problem on the 6speeds, would it really affect the value?

Has it been recorded as flood damaged?

Knowing the damage suffered I would only pay 4k at the very most!

is the air bag light on then?

cos surely it would not have passed mot with that on?!

i would spend little on it and get the list of probs down unless u dont mind selling for less money, just gives people reasons to haggle to pay less when there are things wrong!

Will you be telling people it's water damaged?

That makes it pretty much worthless tbh.

Airbag light isn't part of the test as far as i know, the garage passed it and i've never been there before.

Going to sort the airbag ecu, CV, and steering angle sensor. and try to get around 5.5.

Cheers guys.

You would get around 5K I reckon for it fro, but as said get the niggles sorted out first before putting up for sale as this will put potentially put off future buyers

Best of luck with the sales though

What car are you looking to get next Mr Dizzle?
