In the process of looking for a new car but i will turn 22 a few weeks after buying the car so should i hold off and take out a new policy then?
It may of course take longer to find a car than expected, but have emailed a guy about a nova saloon tonight for pictures.
My insurance has just doubled thanks to 3 points and a months fine, so I would like to keep it as cheap as possible.
Cheers

It might help but it may or may not make much difference. Try getting quotes online with the same details in each except change your year of birth. 25 is when it really goes down though.

I thought it was how many years you've had your license for had more effect than your age now.

NCB are the main thing taken into account on top of age. 25 is still regarded as the "milestone" for premiums to drop.

Thought that site didnt save my details, but just checked and it did. I put my DOB 2 months before it really is (which makes me 22) and the price dropped from £1456 to £1261.
Think Ill be leaving it a couple of weeks them. Cheers folks
