Is there a reason why these aren't done?

Just curious as i've never seen or heard of any Corsa B's with this conversion? (may have been a super charged one iirc but not any others?)

150bhp, lots of torque and they're very tunable aren't they??

I really want to do this conversion once i'm back in the UK.

think your confused, the x22xe comes out of a fontera, usually used with red top head to make it 2.2.

you mean the z22se, all aluminium block etc,
only ever seen one but americans go mad on these engines

Just because the engine can get insane output figures doesnt make it a good engine imo! In standard form they are unreliable, from failing timing chains mainl for the ones that didnt get recalled, and bottom ends!

All engines had problems but imo this is vaux's worst for many years.

2.2 with only 150BHP and also drunk more fuel than the Z20LET with 197 BHP

z20net is a simular engine

Though it must be said, i think they use the blueptint of this engine in the astra touring car

99 ron is also all you can buy from the pumps over here. dont be confused by america and othre countries pump fuel ron ratings. theyre not the same as ours.
