you can yes its a fiddely fucker tho,

thrttle body must come out, all bracketry must come off, a load of wiring, a few clips and the EGR valve must come off and there is a coolant hose at the back of the head thats got to come off aswell.

Yes alternator out its the big inlet pipe thats the bitch gets in the way and difficult to get out with the inlet manifold in place
