Mine seems slow to react. But when it gets going i reckon its better than standard air box.

Same as. I'm tempted to put my airbox back in and drill it. See what happens.

I thought my induction kit had reduced power a while ago, but it seems to have improved recently? (hmm...)
I also find the best thing to do at the lights is throw the throttle up a bit, then put the foot down as you bring your clutch up trying not to spin up that much...
the reason I throw the revs a bit first is this is sucking air into the engine, thus getting some air flow going - If I sit at 1k rpm and put my foot down the car will sort of seem to choak for a second and then pull away...
My K&N seems fine, and I prefere the sound so much to standard...

make sure it's not taking in warm/hot air or u'll gat no gains. Put a extra pipe from the bumper to bring more cold air in from outside

Induction kits won't be as good as ur airbox at the bottom of the revs, they giv u more mid-range power & torque. When I race from the lights I keep it revin at about 3k-4k and plant it when i drop the clutch. If it's a 16v it'll need a bit of revin anyway.

the best way to do it is drill the air box and get a panel filter that gives the most extra bhp adn best gain in torque, some of these cone filters fook up the cars mixture and do the car more harm than good.

I have twin cold air feed pipes... makes so mcu differance!!!, they are silver so that they deflect all heat!
I have also made a heat sheild out of aluminium sheet coz this protects me k&n from any un wanned heat!
Better than and air box by far!!!!1
