started up at a new gym now after not training for around 6months, so obviously i would have lost some strength in that time..

but when im going now i just feel out of puff quite soon, in my head i know i can do it but my muscles aint having non of it..

any ideas of giving me more energy and that extra kick?

Maybe lift some lighter weights until you get back in to it?

diet aint to bad, but i do still eat some junk food as i dont mind putting on a little bit of fat while i bulk, maybe the fatty foods are making me feel a little groggy?

and marc i can lift near enough the same as what i did before, just get out of puff quicker..

not sure if this is true but my mate always has a microwave curry before he trains and he says it helps him loads, gives him more energy when training never heard it before but he says it helps him..

any sort of foods that i could make sure i have before i train (obviously not literally before i walk into the gym)

Are you taking in a decent amount of protein and carbs an hour or so prior to workout?

just a lack of stamina. It will build up again once youve been going for a couple of weeks.

What Jake said really, plus junk food and toxins depressed the body allover the board.

Try vitargo powder and orange juice before your workout and sip some during. Should give you a hefty insulin spike and keep you peaking throughout your workout.

Surely you can't expect to walk in after 6 months out and be able to perform like before? Will get it back soon enough mate

I used to have this sometimes but it was because I was over doing it. Sometimes take two days off or perhaps three and then you go back refreshed.

went to my local GNC just and got me a few things..

dextro energy sweets (general energy top up) £0.59

black powder 'instant energy release' (pre training 0-30mins before training) £1.99

hardcore energize bullet (similar to the above, extremely potent energy forumla) £2.49

so going to try these out (obviously only 1 at a time just before training) so hope that helps me out and gets me back on track

tbh, thats all well and good, but its scientifically proven that a high caffeine pre-workout drink will help you push yourself pass what your body can naturally do.

I've only ever used the odd protein shake and sometimes I get that tired that I cba to make it so just miss it, so you could say I'm 'clean', I've had some great results in the past when I used to be a gym bum, but my main hobby was eating stuff.

In which case I won't argue about effectiveness of it, but I will say that its not for me
