Weird conversation we had today at work. Do you call your female friends 'mate' E.G...."what you up to today mate?" Blokes call each other it all the time, but is it weird to say it to a lass? And lasses of CS, do you call people mate?

'Mate' is used for people I don't know that well tbh. If they actually are a good friend, they get 'man'. I call women 'whores'.

i dont like girls calling each other mate but i call girls mate all the time. sometimes it gets a negative reaction but most seem to like it.
