Im sick of my car and want something nice for a change. Been looking into loans but because i dont have a credit rating im struggling to get one.
Has anyone had this problem, and does anyone know anywhere that might give me a loan of around £5000 over a 3 year payback with little or no credit history?
Im 19, no debts, still living with parents.
Cheers guys.

I'm sort of in the same predicament and all I would say, is don't bother.
You have a 1.6 Sport which is an excellent first car in terms of its capabilities.
Save up for a while, it'll be tough but what you can get insured on at 19 won't be much of an upgrade and you'd have to keep for 3 years.

Hence why you have a 12v.

Indeed. I was merely stating that what he has isnt bad. At 19 I had a boggo 1.4 16v Sport.

I got my gsi at 19, i work for a bank so got an amazing rate. Aslong as you could easily afford the payments i dont see a problem. This isnt really the time to be looking for credit, at your age and credit history expect high teens to mid twenty aprs.

LOL cheers for the comments, they made me chuckle anyway.
Its mechanically F**k'd, things keep breaking, thats why i want something better.
Dont get me wrong, it is a nice car thats fast (ye it does have a cage lol) but its not reliable. Need something that will get me to work and back without breaking.
Might try Barcleys depending on APR.

doesnt sound too bad.. A 5k car probably wont drop loads of money anyway. Plus if its a loan you dont have to even keep the car for 3 years. If you can afford the repayments. Go for it

All i'll say is this. It's not a nice feeling when you take a loan of 25k out over five years and lose your job two months later.
Stick with the Corsa and save up some dough. You'll feel better for it in the end and be a free man which is more important.
Having a huge loan hanging over your head really is like serving some sort of sentence.
