As some of you know i had a shoot with one of my friends who owns/runs Rebecca Elizabeth Occasionwear.

only a quater of the way through editing the shots at the moment, Have only shown her this shot as a taster so thought i would do the same to you lot , so i will update this when all the shots are done and uploaded.

Hope you like, im really happy with them, apart from the background is a bit iffy and would of liked it to be plain or slightly more ruffled but still im happy with how they came out considering this was done in her garage (made me want to convert mine more lol as mines a bit wider than hers so would be a bit better).

i'm no expert but could you use extra lighting to get rid of the shadows on the background?

Could of done with one behind her or one facing the background at a higher power than the others but then the dress would of bin blown as the space was very limited, plus i was using all 3 guns at the time as it was .

shes rediculously cheap anyway just to get her name out there, i was quite shocked tbh when she told me how much she tends to charge for hand made dresses.

2 problems I see with this shot:

1) the shadow as mentioned about, Another flash light to try and maybe blow the background out is needed.

2) The draped curtain on the left hand side, it then makes you look at the background which to me does not look straight and has a big gap.

But I love the lighting on her, face and shoulder giving off a lovely soft glow to her skin and dress.
Its just the Background I have issues with I guess.

I'm no expert though

Lighting and sharpness of the image is decent. Background is horrendous, sorry!

Yeah i wish the background was better but thats just how she set it up so couldnt really do anything about it and not enough space to blow the background with out compromising the dress .

thanks for the comments though.

What I'd do is try to stand a flash behind her, so she is standing between you and the flash. Point it backwards at the background to loose a lot of the detail.

Girl looks nice though

andy, i did try it a few times but looked strange but there will be some shots later where the flash is between the model and the wall.

Is there anyway you could bounce the flash of the ceiling as this may reduce the shadows slightly.
