Anybody have one? If so, pics? Just started my half sleeve on Tuesday, going back in two weeks time to shade it, should take around 2-3 hours to finish completely. Here it is half done (Bit of a cliche, but the picture REALLY doesn't do it justice) -

Im in the middle of having my sleeve/chest done.
All traditional Jap, Iv got a Koi on my inner forearm aswell and the next few sessions ill be having a traditional Jap devil mask on the inside of my bicep and a scroll with Kanji on the outside of my forearm then it will all be connected up with water/smoke/blossoms etc.

This is how far iv got so far, rest of the dragon's body and shading and colour yet to be finished on the top half of my arm but the chest is basically finished.

havinh some quarter sleev e work done soon to build upon a tattoo i have on my shoulder that im not hugely keen on

goign with the koi theme - lines, shades and cherry blossom but without the koi ha!

I hte the amoun of peopl that have a massive fish/dragon on there arm, surrounded by loads of filler just so they can call it a "sleeve".

Fair enough if they mean something to you, but so many people have got them now, you'd be more originl if you had stars

They are japanese tattoos which are steeped in historical meanings. And thats what sleeves are, a few main details surrounded by filler - if it was all in great detail and no filler then it would look a mess.

I see, whats the meaning behind the coi then? I get he filler part to an extent, but some are ridiculous, literally the skinniest tat running on rm, and other 80% filler
