Any ideas? They are craaazy!!
2004 Corsa C 1.8 SRi
Last year i rung for price on a CV joint, dont do one seperate, cant get a non-genuine, have to buy full shaft from Vaux @ £460+VAT, managed to get a re-conned joint for £60 *phew*
Now EML is on, o2 sensor 2, possibly need a new cat, take worst case senario and price one up, but the clever designers at Vauxhall decided to build the cat in with the manifold, top idea! That will be a shade over £500+ VAT please
AND thats with company discounts! Pfft. Can stay as it is for now.
Anyone know if any other manifold, ie 1.8 Vectra or something, an aftermarket stainless with no cat will fit a z18xe, if so ill just do that and de-cat the fucker.

Seems best bet to be honest, or to buy a stainless with no cat. Car's not running no different, shit time to happen though, just started new job this month after been out of work since november, and working a month in hand, so struggling to get to work, let alone a £500 cat

Reminds me of the garage who Serviced my car. They wanted £40 for a Pollen Filter and £36 for a Fuel Filter.
EuroCarParts had both for £6 each. So EuroCarParts and a Haynes manual later..... Money in the bank.

Thats garages aint it, try there luck with things, especially with women, thinking they wont know nothing about cars so they can make things up and charge whatever prices.

vauxhall really do make me laugh with their prices, but they must still catch plenty of people out who don't know any better.

Exactly. Vauxhall certainly arnt the worst for parts, And another great thing about vauxhall is the fact they use the same parts for various cars.

Certainly agree with some of thier prices! Absolutely crazy! However, i did manage to pick up a brand new GSI front bumper for my mark 4 astra for the small sum of £70 (and the lower linking panel for it for £7)! Still wrapped and not a scratch on it!
