I don't know if its just the way he is, but he comes across like someone whos merely employed to present and really has no interest in football!

A bit like Jim Rosenthal and the guy on Sky Sports that trys his hand at a bit of everything!

I'm sure he's a liverpool fan? I remember listening to Colin & Edith on Radio 1 back in the day and i'm sure I remember him mentioning it.

Yeah, I mean whenever ever he introduces football it doesn't seem natural. Would be like using Liverpool in a documentary about the Premier League

Wasn't collymore commentating last night too? Channel 5 is up there with sky sports for shit commentary (yes really, I hate andy gray THAT much). I went last night, pretty uninspiring game tbh but a few positives notably in babel doing ok for the time he was on, pacheco's cameo, gerrard looking a bit sharper. It's good that there are some decent sides in it this year, I think we'll face lille/a.n.other if we progress past the romanions.

Babel played really well when he came on last night.

Aquafresh was absolute shite and so was riera

Have no idea how skirtel missed that header either

And the commentary was awful, when gerrard got pushed off the ball in the box and the commentator said

"it's like when a fast bowler shouts for LBW and then realises it was going well down the left side"

WTF get off the fucking tele you clown

Yeah riera was awful and aquilani was well off the pace, he just doesn't seem to have got to grips with what his team mates expect from him yet.

Aye, both Riera and Aquilani were shocking last night.

Babel looked good, but he often does against shite teams, as his pace gives the impression he is doing something, when in reality he is creating very little.

Wish he'd of played Pacheco from the start tbh.

Yeah seemed to be no youngsters who were "blooded" apart from a sub appearance from him, he looks reasonably handy though really, did well with his assist.

I did expect more to be, I think he was hoping to have the tie wrapped up at home then could not bother taking half the players away and play the kids there.
