A friend of mine is currently in the process of setting up a recording studio, hes looking for two moniters to link up to his Mac Book Pro, hes seen two of these for £335 delivered:
http://www.electrical-deals.co.uk/products/samsung-tvs/ls23cfvkfen-samsung-sm2333hd-syncmaster-full-hd-23-lcd-freeview.html?gclid=CLTDlaOr_p8CFUYB4wodvWOrjg
Good Deal or is there better out there for less?

is this a home studio, or a professional one?
if professional then i'd recommend a Mac Pro, rather than a laptop, as the main computer.

I actually thought you were talking about speaker monitors.

Do you really need tv? You can get 24" viewsonic (VA2413WM, VGA though) for £135 each, or a 24" Acer V243HBD (has dvi) for around the £150 mark (look on scan.co.uk).
Save the cash and get what ever you can for as little as you can, money is better spent in where it really matters - like a decent I/O interface, monitors (speakers) and acoustic treatment etc
