as above, is it best to just leave it to soak in water over night or something?

you can get some proper cleaning spay for then, but i tend to just blow mine out with a air line

thing is i seen the spray but how does it work? surely just spraying it will not remove any oil/grease buildup?

im not sure on the cleaning process using the spay. have you looked on the K&N site for any tips on cleaning them?

what are k&n filters made from? I used a hose and gunk to clean my cone filter

i read the packet and saw it said use the spray, i did not get any spray with it and i just dont see how spraying it with the spray will remove any gunk or grease off the filter?

jake - its like very compact sort of foam on the K&N cant imagine it does the filter any good being covered in grease

soaking it in water isnt goung to clean oil or grease is it, the spays are like degreaser effectivly use this and some warm water, trhen make sure you dry it before refitting

once they've been cleaned with de-greaser, then need oiling again, otherwise it wont filter the dirt as good
