i put my phone on ebay
the day i put it on a new ebayer joined ebay and bought the phone.
i wanted £280 for it and the buyer has sent £320 to post to some foreign country.
i received an email like you do from paypal when someone pays for an item and it says i have received funds into my account
but when i actually go onto paypal theres nothing there or even showing he has paid or pending payment.
the small print in the email says the funds will clear when the proof of me sending the phone has been done lol
so i send phone he confirms hes got it then i get money
i dont think so
anyone else had trouble with selling phones on there ?

wouldent trust that at all mate chap offered me a offer like that i sent him the phone if he was happy he would send me the money lol told him were to go stright away lol

Sounds dodgy as fuck, not had no troubles like that before, had a payment pending thing, but cant remember why. Tell him to do 1 lol.

forward the payment email to spoof@paypal.co.uk they'll confirm if its legitimate or not

DONT SEND that is a fake email someone i know send i fone to nigeria or summuts then cryed when nothing went in her bank log into ya ebay and report as dodgy!!!

its mad though because the email is exact the same as though ive been paid
which in the past ive trusted the email and posted stuff with out checking my paypal balance and it has been there lol
so people could fall for it.

Check the email is actually from paypal, I've had emails to an account I haven't got registered with paypal saying I've got money and to log in to collect it (aka fakies/fake login pages/phishing) so make sure it is from paypal like the following
