You might also get pissy when you have more than a normal acct and 1/2 every week gets anoying!

I can understand that but all they guy's done is ask if it's possible. So he still wants it, just from elsewhere - if it's possible to cancel the auction item and buy the cheaper one without stepping on anyone's toes I'd do the same.

Yes if I have to buy it then I will just a bit annoying I searched for item found the cheapest. Then ebay finds a few more one of which is a bit cheaper

If you make a offer and its accepted then surely this becomes a legally binding contract, I think ebay even say that when you an item. So therefore you would have to go through with the sale.
