astra couple is throwing blue smoke out, its been in an vauxhall aproved garage an been on tech2 came up with co2 sensor not working so the garage came to the conclusion it was over fueling which was making it smoke dew to burning off the fuel, so replaced the co2 sensor an run the car for around 50 miles an its still smoking. could this still be down to over fueling? there is also 2 breather pipes that are knackered an spit could this make it smoke/over fuel? iv also been told that if it was down to over fueling then the smoke would be black not blue an blue smoke will be down to the turbo, if it was the turbo wouldnt that have come up on tech2?

Lol an o2 sensor wouldn't cause blue smoke. It will be burning oil from somewhere. Most likely to be from the turbo. No a faulty turbo won't show up on tech 2 as its a mechanical fault with the turbo rather than electrical. It would only bring up a code if it affected the boost pressure. O2 sensor most likely had a fault due to being covered in oil. They need to take the turbo inlet pipe off and feel for any play in the turbine.

Following on from your other thread, you have went about this the wrong way and im not surprised the trader isnt interested.
You have been well and truelly(sp) fuked over.
The turbo is fuked by the sounds of it too.
Blue smoke=oil
Black smoke=fuel
White smoke=water
Good luck with it though. You only have yourself to blame imho.

You bought a car without viewing it or test driving it 1st etc.

Tried to tell you about this car!!
Would definately look into the legality of the warranty though and see where you stand.

think trading standard might be getting a phone call, told him that the other day on the phone an he got very agresive and told us to pay the bill an he would deal with them, but we ended up paying it anyway just so we could have the car back, we need 2 cars, that was the whole idea of p/x the corsa so we wouldnt be left without a car

There is prob and exclusion in the warranty on exhaust systems, could also be valve stem seals.
Broke turbo is smokey on tick over, smoke on take off is possible seals.
Either way you will shag the cat, O2 sensor never needed changing just gave a reading out of range due to burning oil.
my Zlet is on way to its 4th turbo in 55k miles.
Hope you didnt boot it from cold or switch on when too hot.
Garage is slow on the warranty as it will be a 3rd party pay out so he will have wait an age to recover money from that company hense the slowness / unwilling to fix your car pronto.

Can get a VXR turbo from autovaux for around £550 with all the gaskets, studs etc.

he is unwilling to pay at all, there has been no mention of warranty from a 3rd party, this was coming out of his own pocket, it smokes on tick over and when revving, when we first noticed it it was just parked up on tick over while we was talking an it got that bad that we couldnt even see the car if the cat gets shagged then it'll be a straight through section getting put on till MOT will pull the turbo pipe off tomorrow an see how much oil there is, there should be a little though even if the turbo hasnt gone, right? how can i check piston rings and valve stem seals? will it have to be engine stripped?

Valve stem seals will only belt out smoke on 1st start-up after the car has been sitting for a while.
Turbo seals will belt out smoke when the car has been started and enough time has been given for the oil to thin down, then it will pish through the seals and cause the smoke depending on how bad they are.
