Try every car in the street, then hopefully get caught.

People get worse, I sometimes wonder how people survive in life as every single thing seems to be asked on here.

I found a set of keys, tried them until I found the car and then knocked on a few doors until I found the owner. They were quite grateful.

I once found a set of car keys hanging out of the drivers door lock of a car parked outside a community centre. I took the keys, locked the car and took them straight inside. Asked for the owner and it was an old guy (prob about 60+), who just took them off me and scowled at me as if I'd shagged his wife! Didn't even so much as mutter the word thanks.

Made me feel like I should have taken the car.. fucking disrespectful old duffer. The keys had his house keys on and I'd imagine there would have been something in the car that would have indicated his address.

TBH, I'd probably still do the same but I'd probably flip if I wasn't thanked the next time... I think I was too shocked to say anything at the time.

Yeah, i'd have ben quite annoyed if they'd not thanked me. It doesn't cost anything to say thanks, especially when you've saved them loads of inconvenience/cost

I found a set of keys one time at the pub, luckily i see a woman looking for them so i told her i found them , she started going off on one saying she swore they were in her bag n i must of been in it. Next thing her fella comes over asks what the prob was n the bastard twatted me

So now if i see anything laying about i just walk past n leave it.

should of smashed his face in tbh. would never let anybody hit me, never mind speak to me in a bad manner because of finding something they lost. happened to me before with a phone, i phoned the girls mum and then her boyfriend. the boyfriend was being a twat so he was told straight away, i had the phone, keep it going and she wont see her phone again, then i hung up. he phoned back straight away with all these apologies.

i'd just sling them over a fence or something, make it harder to find for the stupid person who lost them.

i wouldn't be arsed to drive 8miles to the nearest police station and hand them in

I'd find some fresh dog shit and plonk them on top of it, then stamp up and down on them and squash them into it so the shit covers every key.

Should have carried on smiling and then shouted. ''Oh, crikey, i've forgotten to lock it!'' and then grabbed the keys off him again and walked quickly away insisting that it is no bother at all.

Then park it in the next street and return the keys again with another sincere smile.
