Dont really like the exhaust thats on my gsi and the welding is utter shite.
I want something off the shelf that will give good gains, probably be looking to change the manifold as well.
What do you recommend, not really on a budget i'd rather save up for something worth the pennys.

Personally, I would get yourself a decent 421 manifold then have it mated to a 2" straight through stainless system. Won't get many systems that'll gain more power.

Magnex and scorpion were always my first choice.
But Been hearing good things about piper systems lately,
If money is no object lexmaul and blueflame are ones to consider.

Are Magnex trading again?
Got a bankrupt stock one cheap gives a nice sound. Janspeed also make nice ones.
But if you want loud go for Sportex

I bought a sebring 6x4 oval backbox tonight brand new for a very good price so i'll just be looking for a good centre section and manifold.
Cars currently de-catted but am unsure whether to run a cat or get a hi flowing sports cat.

Sebrings are horrible,
Had one before as I used to like them in pictures, But once I fitted mine felt it was far far too big.

Magnex back box with remus straight through sounds ace on my 1.6.
Been tempted to remove the straight through for a more subtle quieter ride.

Was that straight through all the way? I'd still have a centre section & backbox like..would it be that loud?

Why don't you just go for a custom stainless job?
I went to the guys at Meerkat Exhausts in Kilbirnie.
Cracking guys and the exhaust seems decent.

i have home made down pipe and rest of it was made by blueflame. both the home made and the blueflame bits are exceptional quality.

If you just putting a de-cat on i don't think it makes it much louder

The whole mild steel sportex systems are good value for money, they also do straight through race pipes too,can pretty much make up a custom exhaust system from them! If you do run the decat you'd be better having a small middle silencer.
