If you crash you car and want to get it back on the road am i right in saying that only
Category C: Vehicle extensively damaged and insurer has decided not to repair. The vehicle should have an independent inspection before being allowed back onto the road.

Category D: Vehicle damaged and insurer has decided not to repair

are eligible to be repaired.

If you want to fix one of these cars up to drive again what do you need to get it back registered for on the road?

Thanks

Yes, you can only put a C or D back on the road.
Cat D needs MOT, Cat C needs VIC and MOT.

Sometimes it will affect your premium, but most of the time it doesn't
