A 2001 modeo (could be an ex taxi ):

Or this A4?

Or this alfa (which will probably bankrupt me):

mondeo or alfa. Don't see why you would want the audi tbh it's quite old.

Audi is gonna last longest imho.
And should be easiest to sell afterwards.

I'm at a bit of a loss with what to get, I'm going the tuebrook (liverpool) auctions on the 29th but bit nervous about buying from there as don't have a mechanic friend to come with me, so looking out for stuff beforehand too.
I like the modern interior of the mondeo and the fact it should be cheap to run but I really want an alfa....with standard leather but everyone I know who's had an alfa has had loads of issues costing lots of monies.

the audi doesn't look like a 30,000 mile car to me, 130,000 maybe
the mondeo, although boring and blends into the background, looks the decent choice out of those 3.

Iwas thinking the Audi may be a misprint? 130k maybe?
Would stay away from the Alfa if it has already started having problems.
From those I would go with the Mondeo no doubt, but as said what about a Vectra or something?

What would you buy with a grand then as i'm currently 'taking the bus' and it's no fun
I don't fancy a vectra unless I could get a 'c' but doubt it very much!

I don't want a vectra b as they have gearboxes like my old corsa b e.g. dick in a bucket.

I might have to go for a mundano then, tbh I expect the auctions will be full of them so will have a look over them and see if I fancy one
