Bored so thought it might be interesting after reading a few threads on UK-muscle to start a thread to see what everyones 1RM's(1 rep max) are for the 3 main exercises on CS.
Not sure if their are alot of people on here who attend a gym as alot work out at home on here dont they?

Anyway state your 1RM for the following, including your height and bodyweight and what aids were used if any at all, like so......

5ft 6 @ 65kg

Benchpress - 95kg
Squat - 110kg
Deadlift - 170kg (chalk)

6ft 1 @ 16st

Benchpress - 110kg

Ive done that once but I rarely ever go close to my 1 rep maximum to be honest - im lifting for fat loss rather than bulking so im normally at about 70% of max 1 rm.

Have no idea on squat or deads as I train at a home gym that does not have the racks to perform squats with big weight safely. I dont feel confident enough with my dead lift form to go really heavy.

I normally just do 70kg squats and 100kg deads untill I die

People with such high deadlift I dont know how you do it..

I can lift 40kg each side on the smiths machine so (100kg) (Can do 25kg each side on free weight bench)

Deadlift I can only do (60kg?) (2 20 plates and the bar 20kg)

Well thats how much ive tried so far I can do 4 sets of 8 reps with it, so 1 rep I could proberly do about 100kg odd.

So people doing 160-170 your telling me you have a bar with 3 20 plates each side plaus 2 10s and 5s?

Yes thats right, deadlifting is my strongest point for me but remember this is only a 1 rep max effort. I attempt my max probably once a month to see if i have improved, deadlifting any other time for reps i will only go upto around 140kg.
Before the end of the year im aiming for
Bench - 120kg
Squat - 150-160kg
Deadlift - 200-205kg

Basically yeah, my dead lift was a true 1 rep figure and I usually train well below this and concentrate on form. The bench and squat figures I gave were for a set of 3 but I doubt I would get much more for 1 rep.

5ft 10 @ 102kg (16 stone)

Bench = 130kg
Deadlift = 190kg
Squat = 185kg

Been training again since August. These 1 rep max are done on a calorie deficient diet, 2000 cals a day.
In June i m training for size and calories go up. I want to raise my goals to 150kg bench and over 200kg for squats and deads.

This on a machine or free weight? Thats a shit lot of weight to be shoulder pressing, especially when your other lifts arent comparably high. I can do 2 x 42.5kg dumbells in military seated press, i thought i had strong shoulders!!

It all depends on what machine it is, thing like leg press machines will vary in different gyms. The leg press at my gym iv had 2 proper form reps at 300kg but usually only go upto around 240kg for my last set of 8 reps.

i kno on different machines, 100kg could appear lighter than normal, but would only be a matter of 10kg at most, so 195kg leg press, in my opinion, for someone who dosent train, its outstanding

i try to stay away from the leg press machines to be honest, squating is way more affective and is the best exercise to do

do you not find it easier with the dbs? i cant stand the smith machine for shoulders. Too much pain and awkward position.
