My speedo has stopped working, now im not sure weather its electric or cable driven

If it is cable driven is there a sensor on the box anyway??

if on your dials it starts at 10 its cable driven and if it starts at 0 its electronic if thats any help mate?

if its cable sounds like it's either the cable itself or the gearbox drive.

Well im gonna hafve a gander at lunch and replace the drive etc, so we can only have a look

gsi's are 10-140 iirc...meaning you will have to change either the cable or the drive in the gearbox.the drive is about £7 from vaux and the cable is £18 last time i checked

All done now

After lots of swearing and cut hands, the speedo worm drive had been fucked and to make things worse i couldnt get it out so i yanked the speedo cable but it had come out half way

So with some heat shrink it was done, speedo drive from my old box and bobs your teapot
