Shudt damage it, it is a console after all, its not going to be the same as a PC hard drive. Consoles get taken to mates houses etc.

Be the same idea as these portable MP3 HD's I imagine.

not much advice you can give really, make sure its secured, and comfy, dont want to fuck it up. The HD should be able to take a beaten cause like they have said above, but I'd say it would take as much beating as a PS2, just dont drop it/let shit land on it

It is a standard pc hard drive (infact xbox is pretty much a pc..) .. but they do have extra an extra hard rubber corner covers on em to make more resistant to knocks and stuff..

you obviously aint tried pickin up a x box have ya ?-them things weigh about 5 bricks-so shouldnt be a problem at all-im running a ps2 and that is more frail-still dont jump --realisticly if you have alloys and you see a hazard you slow down anyway its second nature stuff after youve dumped the steel hubs
all i would say is get a decent power invertor box or youll have problems- myn cost a £100 -basicly i can have either xbox/ps2/hairdryer/electric vibrator-anything can be connected-but you will suffer if the invertor is poo-it will mash up youre battery and do nasty things!!

PC hard drives are designed to carry on working with shock levels approaching 60g's. Its not an issue of the hard drive being damaged. Tough as shit.

Yes, thats when they are functioning too. When they are idle or switched off, Seagate Barracuda's (similar to XBOX) are able to withstand forces as high as 230G's.
