How is it done

I'm down £650 to some idiot that wont respond, and hasnt sent my ECU. I cant open a dispute as ebay are saying 'give it some time'. I will be able to do so tomorrow.

In the meantime, is there any way I can find this guy? I have no contact details for them... they wont respond.

I paid with paypal, using my credit card (to get a bit more protection). If paypal cant recover the fee, will I be able to do anything on my credit card?

Credit card should refund you.

Has he got any other items for sale?

If not, get another account and email him about the original auction, asking has he still got it, then arrange to send a cheque or something.

My understanding was that all credit card transactions are covered by the issuer? Check T&C's of your issuer.

Also, Have you done a few google searches of the username that has sold you this ECU? It might be a generic Username they use for internet forums.

He had other items at the time... looked like he was breakign a skyline, and had had items up since.

yeah but he sent other skyline bits though more recently. Paypal99% of the time will refund you

Clcik on advanced search. on the left thee is an option for "find a mebers details. It will then ask there user id, and the item number of the deal you have both done. click that and it will email you some details, but dont expect his dor number or anything

called and spoke to a Kerry who handed the phone to her husband as soon as I mentioned 'ebay - money - where is it.'

He is saying that someone he used there details to make an account on ebay and paypal to scam folk. Which is BULLSHIT as I got there details (same email address as paypal went to) on an advert giving away dogs! Who the hell is that scamming! The dogs??!

The account also has good feedback which isnt likely for a scammer!

Find a phone number online linked to the paypal email address....
speak to some guy called Paul who claims to know nothing about it and has never owned a skyline....
do a google search for that same phone number and it comes up with a load of posts on skyline owners forum with a guy called Paul selling stuff....
