if it's down as a 1.4 and it gets tested as a 1.4 when it has a 2.0 engine in it, it'll fail the emissions test i'd think?

go on pistonheads, 2/3 xe's isn't declared. think he means generally the ammount you see, but this is a chance for everyone to high horse it.

This is something I've been wondering about as well to be honest. I'm not going to have the time to wait for the DVLA to change my logbook and send it back to me before PVS and my car has no MOT I'm going to have to see if I can get it to pass as a 1.0.

best to have it all legal, that way you don't have to worry "i hope i dont crash today cus my insurance wont do anything about it..."

etc

garage that does mine was really fussy about it first time and i had to fetch old log book from car engine came from to prove its age etc as mine is built on a 1989 20xe which lets it have higher emissions slightly than the age of the car does.

most garages wont care what engine is in it. a pass is a pass.
