It's true that little things can make a big difference
I decided today was going to be the day that the badges came off, so first was the Vauxhall one as it was annoying me with its wonkyness.
Before:
Letters off:
Glue removed and gone over with some SRP:
The other side was less successful because it looks like at some point the boot has been re-painted badly, so there is the original factory paint with some new paint over the top. However the factory paint has some of the glue left over from the original badges so it has left a bump. What this also means is that some of the top layer of paint has come off. Bit of a loss as to what to do now, currently thinking the best option will be to get it into a local paintshop next week and get them to respray the area properly.
Once the driver's side is sorted out, it will be looking a lot better.

That is another option. Would need to get a new one though. Kind of defeats the point in de-badging as well

I thought I had messed it up to start with until I realised that it was more sticky stuff under the paint
For the time being I don't know which route to go down, either leave it as is with a bump and some sticky stuff showing, or get the paint off the top and get the sticky stuff off underneath, but then that would leave an outline where the letters were

Are they chrome all the way through?
The saxo ones were black underneath so I used some megs paint cleaner to strip them back

Nah they're white plastic with weird chrome coating stuff Could be sanded and painted moderately easily I think.

Yeah mate I'm thinking I might do that.
Question is whether to just do the Corsa side or both sides

Could also paint the griffin whilst I was at it But then it might look weird now having the Vaux badge there.
So many options

Nice pro bodge on the boot there by a dodgy bodyshop then
I'd personally want to get the boot panel sprayed and leave it badgeless rather than stick a black badge back on. That's just me though!

You got it Rich
Yeah I would rather have it re-painted it but it depends how much they want for it. Tbh the whole of the boot could do with re-doing but I'm not made of money Especially seeing as I'm meant to be getting my wheels done this month.
Like your avatar btw

The last pic on your drive, looks lovely. I missed my C out of all my cars, it was the best car I have owned even in standard form.
Would like another tbh

Cheers mate, don't suppose you could give an idea how much it'd be? You're about an hour away though otherwise I'd be there in a flash
There's a paint shop on the road I work on so I could quite easily drop it off one morning but haven't dealt with them before or anything but they do seem to get a lot of business.

i'd get the boot resprayed myself. can't be that much as it's just basically a rectangular slab rather than around the window.
my brothers c was the same, wonky vauxhall badge with shitty bobbly paint underneath

I would rather get it resprayed tbh but if it costs too much then I could live with a black badge for a few weeks.
Like you say though, it's not a hard shape

Got it painted today to the tune of £90 cash in hand. It's a million times better than it was before Although they took it out for a cheeky spin because there are 10-15 miles extra on the trip meter and the petrol light has come on
